Abstract
Coloured wood chip is a product developed from wood waste collected from the construction industry. The wastes are categorized as residues remainders leftover by-products or any portion of wooden raw material that are discarded and no longer suitable for further usage. With various restrictions imposed on wood waste disposals such as dumping and open burning to ensure clean and healthy environments the development of this product is timely to minimize disposal problem. This product can be used as mulch for plantation and especially for landscape garden due to its colorful attribute. In this study the coloured wood-chips produced were analysed for their plant nutrient value and evaluated their usefulness as organic mulch for soil and crop production.
