Abstract
A survey was conducted using SCUBA diving at three randomly chosen transect lines of 20m length at Pulau Payar House reef and Pulau Lembu Reef. Focus was on the percentage of Hard Corals HC Dead Corals DC Abiotic A and Others OT to obtain a general picture of the survey sites. The methods used was as described by English et al. 1997. An assessment of Coral Colonies BCC and Coral Rubbles CR. A Coral Damage Index CDI was devised to standardize the measurement of the extent of damage. The CDI calculated of between 0/1 to 0/3 for the three sites surveyed showed that none were attribute to recent damage.
