Philip E., . and Rizal M.K.M., . (2002) Growth of Mesua ferrea in a mixed planting. [Proceedings Paper]
Abstract
A study was conducted to evaluate the growth performance of M.ferrea in a mixed planting in Shah Alam. Assessments made were the photosynthesis stomatal conductance and chlorophyll fluorescence measurements. It was noted that the photosynthetic and stomatal conductance varied significantly between leaves of same age. However the chlorophyll fluorescence indicating the efficiency of PS 2 was consistent. It is speculated that this could be due to the patchiness in stomata or periodic growth.
