Abstract

This reports present a modification of the basic concept of KAIZEN know-how which has garnered much success in Japanese manufacturing as seen from the two perspective of industrial engineering and work conditions and ergonomics and offers examples of its successful adaptation to apple growing. This report also discusses not only the usual well-known KAIZEN work methods but also refers to the creation of an exercise program to prevent lower back pain which takes into account the regional cultural and age characteristics of the subject group.
