Abstract
Recently industry becomes the most important sector of economy in Indonesia. All efforts were focused to support this sector. Dangerous plans were obtained such as the changing mangrove forests into shrimp ponds. Indonesian government ignored that degraded protective ecosystems would cause serious natural disaster such as the December 26 tragedy in Nanggroe Aceh Dararussalam. To minimize its impacts action project with appropriate management is suggested to be designed properly. Bali the most beautiful island in the world is potential for developing mangrove forest ecotourism. By using Total Ergonomics approach that consists of SHIP approach and appropriate technology development programs will be analyzed through a system holistically utilized with related discplines and included stakeholders participation. This approach becomes more effective to build a strong will and encourage stakeholders resposibilities to keep the project sustainability. Finally communities get benefit of mangrove forest without loosing the main function of it as a green belt in preventing the impact of natural disasters.
