Abstract

Anthropometric data is based tool for design of any agricultural machinery. It is concerned with ways of designing machine operation and work environments so that they match human capacities and limitations. Its goal include increasing the productivity in operation decreasing amount of efforts needed to operate machine increasing human comfort decreasing accidents and eliminating error provocating features. Little data is available on Indian Farm Workers relative to the ergonomic problems of farm machinery Fifteen measurements including body weight were chosen for anthropometric survey for the an animal drawn rotary puddler seat design point-of-view. Maximum variation was found in body weight of the subjects. The collected data were compared with the anthropometry data of different part of the country as well as for the other countries.
