Abstract
Tropical forest conservation is viewed with enormous economic potentialities. The rich biodiversity of the forest makes available a variety of possible economic activities that would be presented as an alternative to excessive logging. This paper discusses specifically the economics and production aspects of honey hunting in the forest as one possible activity. In relation to this a brief discussion of ecotourism is given. Both honey-hunting and ecotourism is seen to provide a positive contribution to the country economically and environmentally.
