Abstract

The aims of this study was to identify the various gastrointestinal eggs worm of Sambar deer Cervus unicolor in Surabaya Zoo. This study used the descriptive design. Sixty three stool samples were taken from twenty one Sambar deer stool samples were collected from one location in Surabaya Zoological Garden. Isolation of gastrointestinal eggs worm showed 65 positive results from stools. Based on the sizes and the cells embryo of eggs specification of eggs were isolated using the three methods native sedimentation and floating methods. There were identified as six genus of eggs worm: Trichostrongylus spp. 45.45 Fasclala spp. 15.91 Haemonchus spp. 13.64 Paramphistomum spp. 11.36 Strongyloides spp. 6.82 and Toxocara spp. 6.82.
