Abstract

Wetlands have been recognised as a natural wildlife habitat for most species. With the rapid development growth of urbanisation industrialisation and agriculture more areas of wetlands will be diminished and will cause great impact and damages on the environment. The need to identify such areas to monitor and to sustain them prompted the usage of modern technologies such as satellite remote sensing. This paper will explain further the various methods of wetland mapping and their effectiveness.
