Abstract

Descriptive statistics and Multivariate Analysis of Variance MANOVA were used for analyzing water quality data obtaining from Beris Dam in the Kedah state of Malaysia during three years. Descriptive statistics showed that some parameters such as Turbidity TSS and E.Coli a high dispersion during the years. MANOVA exhibited a strong significant difference among three years based on the selected parameters. Correlation Matrix exhibited a strong evidence of mutual dependency between the parameters. Statistical analysis gave a clear picture about the behavior of the parameters and anthropogenic activities surrounding the area of study. This study illustrates the usefulness of statistical analysis for better planning.
