Abstract
Landscaping at its aesthetic best is a result of a harmonious integration of form function and perspective of the elements used in the design. Fruit plants add to the aesthetic beauty of environment and deserve special attention to be induded in landscaping and therefore agrotourism. There are more than a hundred rare fruit species with varieties of shapes texture and colours that can be chosen as elements for landscape. Besides providing the source of food to birds insects squirrels and others fruit trees add uniqueness to the landscape especially with their conspicuous flowers colourful shoots and hanging fruits etc. The characteristics of the different species of rare fruits and their suitability in landscaping is discussed in this paper.
