Abstract

Bud dormancy is a common problem in seedless guava cultivation. The production of new buds will influence subsequent new shoot growth and flowering. A study was carried out using hydrogen cyanamide Dormex and/or white oil with different combinations to break bud dormancy in seedless guava cv. Bangkok Apple. Results showed that new shoot growth flower production fruit uniformity and yield were increased by 45 0.3 26 and 50 respectively when treated with hydrogen cyanamide 2 1st week application and white oil 5 2nd week application. Fruit set fruit weight and total soluble solid were not significantly affected by the treatments.
