Abstract

The nutrient intake and weight gain of male and female mouse deer fed different levels of protein were investigated. There was no significant difference in the OM and CP intakes weight gain and FCE between male and female mouse deer when fed five different feeds with varying protein contents singly. When the mouse deer were given a choice between two feeds feed-pairs LH AH BH and CH the intakes of OM and CP were significantly P0.05 different between male and female but both nutrient intakes among the four feeds were similar.
