Abstract

An experiment with 720 one day-old broiler chicks was conducted to evaluate the effect of probiotic and whey powder levels on broiler performance. The experiment design was a complete randomized design with a factorial arrangement of treatments 33 of four replication of 20 chicks in each pen. The treatments consisted of three levels of whey powder 2 and 4 and three levels of probiotic 0 150 and 250 mg/ton in starter diet 0 100 and 165 mg/ton in grower diet and 0 50 and 80 mg/ton in finisher diet. Body weight gain in grower period was significantly affected by level 3 of whey powder p 0.05.Higher whey powder and probiotic levels improved feed conversion ratio in total period and reduced feed intake in starter period p 0.05. Whey powder increased feed intake in grower period p 0.05. The level 3 of whey powder significantly reduced blood P ca triglyceride and only level 2 of probiotic reduced blood triglyceride p 0.05.
