Abstract
The effect of environment heterogeneity on insect-plant interactions was examined. The result suggested that heterogeneity could have led to non-random movement of foraging insects. Since all forms of heterogeneity vary with scale effect of heterogeneity on insect dynamics in an agroecosystem is also scale-dependent. A possible approach to incorporate these findings into crop-loss models is discussed.
