Abstract

19 fungicides were screened against three isolates of M. inoderma using the Poison Food Technique for their fungitoxicities. Six out of 19 fungicides: mancozeb triadimefon maneb propineb etridiazo1e and manebcarbendazim gave 100 radial growth inhibition for all isolates. When screened against one isolate the ED values of these 6 fungicides were 3.9 1.2 2.3 2.5 45.6 and 2.50.3 ppm respectively. Of so the fungicides tested only etridiazole exhibited fungicidal property on M. inoderma at all concentrations tested. Mancozeb and maneb showed fungistatic property at low concentrations and fungicidal property at higher concentrations. Triadimefon manebcarbendazim and propineb on the other hand were strictly fungistatic. Fungitoxicities of maneb mancoze bandetridiazo1e were more than two weeks where as propineb manebcarbendazim and triadimefon were only a week. Other fungicides like tridemorph copper oxychloride thiram tolclofos-methyl and metalaxylmancozeb inhibited more than 80 radial growth ofM. inoderma whilst metalaxyl and benomyl inhibited less than 50 and Captan less than 80 radial growth.
