Abstract

Acibenzolar-S-methyl is a Plant Activator which means it activates the plant;s own self-defense mechanism against many diseases. It induces the natural phenomenon known as systemic acquired resistance SAR. Acibenzolar-S-methyl has no direct activity against pathogens. Plant Activation by Acibenzo1ar-S-methyl plus mancozeb application at the rate of 2.5120g ai/100l leads to effective reduction of anthracnose in chilli.
