Abstract
Field SALB resistance of 25 rubber clones was assessed in French Guyana for 17 months. The 3 measured parameters Infection Type Infection Severity and Stroma Production were positively correlated and gave the same ranking of the clones: II clones appear highly susceptible while 14 expressed heterogeneous phenotypes with mixed resistant and susceptible symptoms in various proportions. This result is explained by the high level of the local pathogen population diversity expressed in terms of pathogenicity which induces heterogeneous symptoms at the field scale.
