Corredor J. E., . and Gomez J. E., . (2009) A mathematical approach towards understanding the dynamics and outcome of Bud Rot Disease in oil palm in different palm producing areas of tropical America. [Proceedings Paper]
Abstract
Oil Palm Bud Rot disease epidemiology curves were preparedfor different palm producing areas of Tropical America and different genetic materials affected by the disease and their equations calculated to fit their graphs. The information was used not only to predict the future production and therefore cash flow of the plantation companies but to get a better understanding of the differences in virulence of the disease in the different areas and materials and to attempt to explain the cause of these differences.
