Abstract

The importance of RD in generating leading edge technologies to enchance local production of fruits and vegetables is well documented in NAP 3. It is envisaged that the research approach undertaken to address the technical constraints will facilitate the generation of package technology for selected fruits and vegetables. Several strategic areas are highlighted to realign RD direction and to ensure that research activities are relevant to the urgent need of the industry.
