Abstract
Pythium splendens Braun was isolated from diseased Sawi plants showing symptoms of post-emergence damping-off. It was a fast growing fungus which produced sexual and asexual reproductive structures on corn meal agar. The average diameters of the oospore and sporangium were 23.1 and 25.77/lm respectively. Pathogenicity studies showed all three Brassica spp. tested were succeptible to the isolate giving 40-55 of disease incidence. Sawi bunga was the most succeptible to P. splendens with the highest disease incidence of 55.
