Abstract

The infestation of nematode on pineapple cultivation in Peninsular Malaysia was discussed based on different type of soils. Eight nematodes genera were found associated with pineapple cultivars including Paratylenchus Rotylenchulus Pratylenchus Helicotylenchus Meloidogyne Aphlenchoides Xiphinema and Macropostonia. Peat soils contain the highest number of nematode while bris soils contain the least number of nematode.
