Abstract

This paper is an overview of the LKSW Ramsar CEPA Programme which is an integral part of the LKSW Ramsar site management plan and act as an effective tool to disseminate what LKSW Ramsar site project is its functions and its benefits and also as an awareness programme to create and to increase the percentage of awareness for environmental conservation to the target groups. CEPA is an abbreviation from the words of Communication Education Participation and Awareness. CEPA emphasizes and promotes the establishment of good communication with the local community and promotes the participation of the community. Talks exhibitions workshops dialogues and training are among the main components of the LKSW Ramsar CEPA. The target groups are the Ramsar Community students public and other stake-holders. The Ramsar CEPA is a continuous process conducting awareness programme in order to create and increase the percentage of awareness to the public in general so that the LKSW Ramsar site will not be degraded and its environment as well as biodiversity will be conserved.
