Yasumuro Y., . and Sasaki M ., . and Nakafa N ., . (1983) Analysis of nuclear and cytoplasmic effects on some agronomic characters in triticale. [Proceedings Paper]
Abstract
The materials were eight strains obtained from the combinations among two cytoplasms Triticum aestivum and Secale cereale and four nuclear genotypes wheat cv. Chinese Spring inbred rye line IR129 their F1 and its 8x amphidiploid triticale. Statistical analysis was based on a factorial design. Spike length and grain weight of triticale strains were superior to those of the parental strains. Nuclear effect was primary in most characters followed by cytoplasmic and nucleo-cytoplasmic interaction effects
