Abstract
The results indicated that the final treated wastes contained BODS averaging less than 100 mg/1 but significant proportion did exceed 100 mg/1; major proportions of the final treated liquor exceeded the limit of 400 mg/1 and 50 mg/1 for SS and oil respectively; all the final discharge contained total nitrogen TN and ammonical nitrogen AN well below the DOE F standard. The biosolids from anaerobic and aerobic processes contained higher concentration of nutrients and were utilised as fertiliser in the estates
