Charges and mineralogy determination: interactions and applications Peninsular Malaysia

Tessens E ., . (1985) Charges and mineralogy determination: interactions and applications Peninsular Malaysia. [Proceedings Paper]

Abstract

The determination of different physico-chemical parameters such as soil pH CEC and AEC was reviewed in the light of the natural pH and ionic strength conditions in tropical soils. The importance of the Point of Zero Charge ph and PZNC was emphasized and illustrated through its influence on soil pH and permanent charge. The qualitative and quantitative determination of soil minerals is carried out using XRD and thermal analysis respectively. The interrelationship between physico-chemistry and mineralogy are investigated statistically and the inert character of gibbsite was emphasized
