Abstract
Suspended and dissolved sediment concentrations from two logged-over watersheds designated as ULWA and ULWB in the Ulu Langat Forest Reserve Selangor were measured over a six-month period. Stream water samples were collected during low and high flows. Statistical analyses indicate significant differences at 0.05 level for suspended sediment concentration and instantaneous suspended sediment loads between ULWA and ULWB but not for dissolved concentration and dissolved sediment loads. Suspended sediment concentrations were relatively high especially during stormflows; a range between 1.0 and 1669.0 mg/l was obtained from ULWA and 3.5 and 7688.0 mg/l from ULWB where logging has been more rec0534ent by comparison.
