Abstract
Many dipterocarp species are fairly fast growing and the high value and demand for our tropical timber makes it feasible to establish plantations with indigenous species harvestable at 30 - 40 years. SAFODA intends to plant indigenous species between A. mangium plantations trees in the Bengkoka project for better returns.
