Abstract

Experiment to culture Moina sp. were carried out in cement tanks for 14 days with 3 types of feed such as soya bean meal fishmeal and chicken manure. Ten individuals were inoculated. 1 to the power of -1 of Moina in each tank. Highest density of Moina was obtained in soya bean meal at 9800 individuals. 1 to the power of -1 on the 9th day. Chironomid larvae culture were carried out for 17 days in the fibreglass tanks containing 0.6 cm mud. Fishmeal at 0.5 kg and 1.0 kg were used. Results from these experiments have indicated that culture using 1.0 kg fishmeal produce more chironomid larvae 9424 organisms than 0.5 kg fishmeal
