Abstract
Since the announcement of the privatization policy by the Malaysian Government in 1983 more than 40 projects have been privatized. The objective and implementation method of privatization is briefly discussed. Projects for privatization are evaluated on their feasibility and desirability. A Privatization Action Plan has been formulated to ensure that the privatization effort is channelled to appropriate priority areas. The Privatization Action Plan is guided by the Privatization Policy and is based on the principle of centralised planning and decentralised implementation
