Abstract

The nuclear Overhauser effect nOe arises from magnetization transfer from mutual dipolar relaxation of nuclei that are in close spatial proximity to each other. In this paper the application of nOe is used to determine the position and relative stereochemistry of selected natural products such as pyranocoumarins alkaloids and lignans.
