Abstract
The effctiveness of Bio-Plus Activator BPA organic fertilizer was tested on selected horticultural crops namely chilly cabbage watermelon and papaya. After two years of intensive field testing the recommended organic fertilizer rate for chilly and cabbage grown on peat was 2.25 ton/ha BPA organic fertilizer plus an additional 0.5 ton/ha and 0.4 ton/ha compound fertilizer respectively. For watermelon grown on Serdang Series soil the fertilizer rate recommended were 1.5 ton/ha BPA organic fertilizer plus 0.35 ton/ha compound fertilizer 12:12:17:12. A total of 1.25 kg/plant/year BPA organic fertilizer and 2.4 kg/plant/year compound fertilizer was recommended for exotica papaya also grown on Serdang Series soil.
