Abstract
Edible insects and other traditional uses of insects and insects products were documented during this brief expedition at Ulu Sumbiling Sg Melalap adjacent to the Crocker Range Park Sabah. More than 10 insect groups were taken as food. The honeybee brood was most commonly sought after followed by sago grubs and paddy sap-sucking bugs. Honey an insect products was widely used not only in cooking but also as health food energy provider and a remedy for various illnesses among the local people. Various other traditional uses of insects and insects products including in myths and beliefs are highlighted in this paper.
