Abstract

The experiment was carried out to see the difference of the esterase bands pattern of E.coli cell-free extract isolated from cow sheep and chicken. Twelve isolates of E.coli derived from 4 diarrhea cows 4 diarrhea sheep and 4 diarrhea chickens. A quick test of esterase carried out on the cell-free extract was taken and applied for SDS-PAGE and Esterase electrophoresis. The result indicated that the SDS-PAGE of E. coli cell-free extracts were not useful to differentiate among isolates based on their esterase pattern. The conclusion of this study was E.coli isolates derived from cow sheep and chicken were different by considering the relative mobility of Esterase band. Keywords: Escherichia coli esterase pattern cow sheep chicken
