Abstract

Aim of this research was to obtain the composition of crude fibre and crude protein rumen content flour which has been fermented by cellulolytic bacteria collected from rumen fluid.Experimental design used was a completely randomized design with four treatments and five replications. Four treatments were P0 20 g rumen content flour without cellulolytic bacteria fermentation P1 20 g rumen content flour fermented 15 by cellulolytic bacteria P2 20 g rumen content flour fermented 30 by cellulolytic bacteria P3 20 g rumen content flour fermented 45 by cellulolytic bacteria. Proximate analysis was performed after rumen content flour fermented as long as 7 days. The data were analyzed with Analysis of Variance followed with Duncan's Multiple range test. Result from this research showed that 45 cellulolitic bacteria from rumen fluid could reduce crude fibre from 42.13 to 36.80 and could increase crude protein from 9.5 up to 12.3.
