Abstract
This paper updates on the latest development of guidelines on quality and environmental management systems auditing which was prepared by the Joint Working Group JWG on the auditing of TC 176/SC 3 and TC 207/SC2. The JWG reached broad agreement on the contents of the current committee draft document of ISO / CD 2 19001 : 2001 with the introduction Scope Normative Reference Terms and Definitions Fundamentals of Auditing Managing An Audit Programme Audit Activities Qualification for Quality and Environmental Management Systems Auditors and An Annex on Examples of the Evaluation Process for Audit Team Selection. ISO 19001 : CD 2 covers meterial from ISO 10011 Part 1 2 and 3 and ISO 14010 ISO 14011 and ISO 14012. The new standards have been used for third party certification for second party for external use and for first party for internal in-company auditing.
