Abstract

The Malaysian crude palm oil MCPO industry must constantly improve and revise its management and operation to meet with the evolving needs of an ever growing competitive market. The industry has gone through progressive changes over the last four decades and at no time the opportunity for closer co-operation between estates and CPO mill management and operation been greater nor the need more urgent. We are now entering a difficult period with both palm product prices depressed and demand from our employees for increased wages. Considering the needs of our industry to improve on the competitiveness both domestically as well as internationally we must focus on producing the best quality product at the lowest production costs.
