Abstract

The company vyncke NV has worked hard to understand the real needs in the palm oil industry and has developed a custom-made boiler solution taking in account the following performances: Assuring a steady steam pressure even during heavy fluctuating steam demands. Preheating the combustion air rather than installing refractory for drying purposes. Ability to deal with fluctuating quantity of plam fruit waste. Full automatic operation without manual interventions in the combustion process. A boiler design that eliminates the need for a superheater and Converting wet empty fruit bunches into clean energy. These technical innovations for the plam oil industry result in the vyncke combiboiler with dynamic water-cooled stepgrate and contribute to the following pragmatic mill performance improvements: Optimizing sterilization. Reducing crude plam oil losses. Reducing labour cost. Reducing direct and indirect maintenance costs on the energy plant as well as on other mill parts. Meeting and beating the DOE standards no black smoke and. Regaining the EFB as renewable energy source.
