Abstract

This geo-hydrological study was undertaken for assessing the groundwater situation in Pulau Manukan. Pulau Manukan is an island located in the South China Sea 7 km. west of Kota Kinabalu city. The sandy flat area at the eastern end of the island has been developed for tourism. The water supply for the island is obtained from groundwater. The water table in the study area is very shallow and the aquifer represented by medium to coarse sand with coral fragment.
