Abstract

The Institute of Environmental and Water Resource Management UTM was given the task of studying and formulating solutions for the rehabilitation of two urban rivers - Sg. Tebrau and Sg. Segget. The main pollution source for Sg. Tebrau is the improperly treated sewage although industrial effluents still contribute a substantial portion. The pollution load inventory from industries and outfalls has to be carried out due to scant data available. All the data was then used for modeling the river system which can be used for wasteload allocations and other water quality management purposes.
