Abstract

The increasing demand for timber and timber products throughout the world cannot be met without substantial development of planted forest. The growing awareness of conserving the remaining natural forest and environment recognises favourably the establishment of forest plantation. In this context in the State of Sarawak efforts should be focused on the possibilities of devoloping planted forest on Native Customary Right land.
