Abstract

Physical environment parameters such as temperature and humidity in a confined animal house are typically used to check if the aerial environment is appropriate for different growth phase of livestock. However those parameters may not be accurate indicators because they do not directly represent the physiological responses of the animals. A discrepancy may exist between the animal's actual comfort level and the animal's physiological response that has been conditioned to respond to experimental temperatures and humidity. Therefore this study was implemented to investigate the relationship between physical environment parameters and the animals' physiological responses and their behaviors to their surroundings.
