Hsia L.C., . and Wang C.Y., . (2004) The effect of different activity sludge density on the aerobic treatment. [Proceedings Paper]
Abstract
Two activity sludge density treatments involved in the experiment. The first treatment had about 30 sludge volume index SVI. The second treatment had about 50 SVI. The result indicated that cleaning rate of the 50 SVI treatment had significatly better p less than 0.05 results on BOD COD SS and P when compared with the result of 30 treatment. Except SS there was a tendency that the treatment result seemed increasing continuously from 1 to 3 or 4 cycles but without big difference after that. The present results indicated that the better waste treatment result could be achieved by higher density of activity sludge within total 10 hours treatment. The ratio of aerobic and anaerobic intermittent treatment was 1:1.5.
