Abstract

Characteristics of livestock production systems pollution generation and control in a developing economy are reviewed in this paper. The opportunities for developing sustainable livestock industries are analyzed and the challenges are considered in detail for policy and management technology economy and market land available and environment capacity. Approaches are given to develop sustainable livestock industries in a rapidly developing economy.
