Abang Abdul Hamid Karim, . (1998) Incidence of insects attacks in planted forests. [Proceedings Paper]
Abstract
Plantation tree species are planted in trial plots and reforestation sites in Sarawak. Incidences of insect attacks in these areas have been recorded. The insect pests are categorised into four main groups namelydefoliators stem-borers sap-suckers and termites. Plantation managers are advised that they undertake regular surveillance to detect pest insects activities. Early detection of pest incidence would go a long way in controlling any pest outbreak.
