Abstract
This in situ study was designed to determine nutritive value and cell wall effective degradability and degradation characteristics of eight dominant forages in pastures used in sheep diet formulation. Results showed that the effective DM NDF and ADF degradability and degradation characteristics of these forages at rumen outflow rates of 2 5 and 8h were significantly different p less than 0.05 and must be considered as a major factor in diet formulation.
