Abstract

Two specimens (road kills) of a green medium sized green coloured snake collected on 2 December 1993 and 19 January 1995 on Pulau Langkawi were identified as the Green Cat Snake Boiga cyanea. This is a new locality record for the species and a new snake species for Malaysia as it has been reasonably ascertained that there is a naturally occuring population of this species on this Malaysia island.
