Abstract
Despite the major progress made in last couple of decades it is recognized that the hatchery phase for both prawn and shrimp remains the weakest link in the culture cycle for both. The major challenge facing hatchery operators will be the further improvement and refinement of the hatchery technology so as to be able to ensure increased production of quality fry in the coming years
