Abstract

Seed supply is one of the fundamental prerequisites for the development of aquaculture. Refinements in hatchery technology improvements in our understanding of fish and shrimp physiology and the manufacture of dedicated larval feeds have all enabled mass production of fish and shrimp seed on a consistent and cost-effective basis. This factor has led to the explosive growth of aquaculture in recent years
