Abstract
A study was conducted at eight different locations in FELDA estates in the Lepar Utara Complex in Pahang. The objective of the study was to estimate losses fruits to rats. The amount of loose fruits taken by rats over three days of observation ranged from 1.8-4.0 fruitlets/palm/day. Higher rat population is not controlled. The importance of baiting is emphasized to reduce such losses.
